Health InclusionMatters - a GP surgery for the homeless
Health Inclusion Matters opened in 2003 to offer enhanced access to primary health care for homeless and disadvantaged people living in the Watford and Three Rivers area. 'Homeless' in this context includes people in temporary accommodation, staying with friends or at risk of being made homeless,as well as those who find themselves sleeping on the street.
Homeless people often find it hard to engage with health services and to address this Health Inclusion Matters offers same day appointments in a calm environment with professionals with an interest in and an understanding of the health problems that often arise when a person is homeless.
We can help document health problems with housing departments, and are used to supporting patients with mental health or drug and alcohol issues
The surgery is open from 9 am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with the doors closed over lunchtime between 1pm and 2 pm. To find out more about consulting times and what to do if you need help when the practice is closed click Find out more
